Lost and found

Are you always passing by the airport’s or a hotel’s lost-n-found office? Forgetful or a ‘dropper’ at home? Then, I am pretty sure that you will continue to be like this during your holiday in a foreign country. Every year, millions of travelers lose their passport, wallets, glasses etc..

How helpful would it be if someone bring you back your lost-n-found objects? Before leaving Greece or even after your departure. You are lucky in Greece. Now, there is an online community for lost-n-found objects. It is called Help Me To Find. According to researches, the 5 most losing valuables are: keys, wallet, phone or ID card, remote and glasses.

As a result, the  https://helpmetofind.gr/ community has 3 noble purposes to fulfil at their website. Of course, these services are provided for free.

  • You can upload your add about what you are missing. Hopefully, you will find it eventually.
  • You can see if someone already found it. Hooray!!!…. to that.
  • You can donate your belongings to protect the environment. Kudos for this to the community.

Lost

If you lost something important to you, then you could upload a short description of the object. If you give more details, it is more likely to find it. e.g. where did you lose it, when (day and time) etc.. Given the fact that you are aware of these details of your lost object. (e.g. I lost my sunglasses at the sand at Paros island on 10th of August 2021. They are female purple with golden frame.). Even if you do not remember where you lose it, maybe you will find it again by searching inside helpmetofind.gr. Lost&found office - Travel advice from a Greek

Moreover, at Greece’s lost-n-found community you can publish photos of your missing pet. Or even from your dementia type grandmother. The community will help them to find their way back home.

The most important thing is that you can also search their website if someone already found your missing object and posted it.

Found

Did you find someone else’s property? At the beach, inside the sea when you went for scuba diving, at the go-cart field. Inside metro railway or even at a big square. Upload it at helpmetofind.gr. Help others to find what they’re missing. You can ask whatever you need as a verification to ensure that you are returning the item to the correct person (ID, a photo of the item they had, to tell you a little flaw it has etc.). Always, at your private conversation. Lost&found

Giveaway

Leaving from lost-n-found part, let’s go to donations. Do you own unwanted items? Are you moving away and you cannot transfer your old bike? On the top of that, you do not have time to sell it? So, give it away. Your old used jacket is worn and you want to get rid of it? Do not through it on your trash or at the recycom red dumpster. First, try to give it away for free at helpmetofind.gr. After all, ‘one man’s trash is another man’s treasure’. There are many people in need and you can help them.

Bonus: In that way, you will also help the environment’s recycling circle to complete.
